Landscape Design Services in Innisfil
We turn your yard into a space you'll want to spend time in, not just look at.
Why Work With Us on Your Yard Design
Most landscape designers hand you a pretty sketch and disappear. We stick around. You get a design that fits your budget, your lifestyle, and the way you actually use your yard. We've designed spaces across Innisfil and Barrie, so we know what grows here and what doesn't.
We start with a walkthrough. You tell us what's working and what isn't. Maybe the backyard floods every spring. Maybe you need a spot where the kids can play without destroying the garden beds. We take notes, measure everything, and come back with options. You're not locked into one vision.
Our designs include plant lists, hardscape layouts, and a phased plan if you want to spread the work over a few seasons. Once you're happy with the design, we can handle the Landscape Installation or hand the plan off to your own crew. Your call.
What You Get With a Landscape Design
You'll get a scaled site plan showing planting beds, pathways, patios, and any Hardscape Installation features like retaining walls or fire pits. We include a plant palette with photos and care notes. Everything's labeled so you know what goes where.
We also map out drainage, sun exposure, and sight lines. If you're planning to add an Irrigation System Installation later, we'll mark the zones and valve locations now. That saves you from ripping things up down the road. The design package includes a cost estimate broken down by phase, so you can prioritize what matters most.
How the Design Process Works
First visit is free. We walk your property, take measurements, and talk through your goals. Within a week, you'll get a rough concept sketch. We review it together, make changes, and then move to the detailed plan. Most projects take two to three weeks from start to finish.
We're based in Innisfil and work throughout Alcona, Cookstown, and the surrounding area. If you're outside our usual zone, just ask. We've done design work as far as Bradford and Oro-Medonte when the project's a good fit.
Design Styles We Handle
We don't push one look. Some clients want low-maintenance native gardens. Others want formal hedges and symmetry. We've done cottage gardens, modern minimalist yards, and everything in between. The design reflects what you want, not what's trending on Instagram.
If you're not sure what style fits, we'll show you examples from past projects and talk through maintenance requirements. A wildflower meadow looks great but needs different care than a clipped boxwood border. We make sure you know what you're signing up for before we finalize anything.
After the Design is Done
Once the design's approved, you've got options. We offer full Landscape Installation if you want us to build it. Or take the plan and hire your own crew. Or tackle parts yourself and bring us in for the tricky bits. We're flexible.
We also offer Landscape Maintenance packages if you want help keeping things looking sharp after install. But that's optional. The design is yours to use however you want.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a landscape design cost?
Design fees typically run $800 to $2,500 depending on property size and complexity. A simple front yard redesign is on the lower end. A full property plan with multiple outdoor rooms and detailed planting schedules is higher. We can give you a firm quote after the initial walkthrough. If you hire us for installation, we often credit part of the design fee toward the build.
Do I need a design before installing a new landscape?
You don't have to, but it saves money and headaches. A design lets you see the whole picture before you start digging. You'll know where utilities run, how drainage flows, and what the mature plants will look like in five years. Without a plan, you're guessing. That usually means redoing work or living with mistakes you can't easily fix.
Can you design around existing features I want to keep?
Absolutely. Most of our designs work around mature trees, existing patios, sheds, or garden beds clients want to save. We'll integrate what's staying and show you how new elements tie in. If something's in rough shape, we'll let you know whether it's worth keeping or better to start fresh.
